I had no idea who the guy was before rumours came out of our interest in one another over the past month but I like the addition. He is another NHL body that can carve out a role that didn't cost us anything other then an ELC. I hope we can convince Oliwer Kaski to join us as well.

good-sized rhd with some impressive numbers--51 points (19+32) in 59 games...nice

Disappointing if he does have the Antipin clause in his deal. He's still young at 21 and North America + the NHL is s huge adjustment. I'd have to think a little AHL time is in everyone's best interest.

I agree with the one year of AHL hockey. Maybe he’ll agree to it. Pilut didn’t seem to mind playing for Rochester this past season.

I’d assume he’s the most coveted Euro FA since Panarin.

Strange, the stars that "showed up" weren't a part of tanking.

Maybe Seguin?

- Boss34

So Landeskog, Mackinnon, and Rantenen were not apart of a team that finished dead last and got them Cale Makar two seasons ago ?

The Stars’ bottom 8 finish in 2017 led them to winning the lotto for Heiskanen.

The Canes had 9 straight years of no playoffs and turned two top 5 selections (Hanifin and Lindholm) into Hamilton and Ferland. Hayden Fleury was a 7th overall pick and they didn’t tank for Svechnikov but if they don’t miss the playoffs last year they don’t win that lotto either.

Columbus has Pierre Luc Dubois (3rd OA), Zach Werenski (8th overall), Seth Jones (4th overall acquired by trading former 7th overall pick Ryan Johansson) and Ryan Murray (2nd overall pick).

The Bruins and Sharks are the exceptions. Unless we hope to sign a hall a fame d-man in FA (Chara) and draft two elite forwards in the 3rd round and wait 4 years for them to develop. Even the Bruins used former top selections to add to their team in the form of Kessel and Seguin.

Has your birdie told you anything about Oliwer Kaski at all ? I’d assume he’s deciding between 10+ teams.

Hopefully he did. Not going to jump to any conclusions from the little that is reported so far.

Would make moving Risto a little easier if that’s what they are going to do. Seeing the strength of these remaining d-corps in the playoffs though it should take an overpayment for us to move Risto I’d hope.

Ansah is always hurt. My pops is a Lions fan having grown up in Windsor so I watch a lot of Lions football. Decent player but can never stay on the field.
